In the fiery desert of North Africa, young hard-hitting French Legionnaire, Don Carter gets thrown in the brig for hitting his sergeant while arguing over beautiful cabaret singer Nina De Bernay. Feeling responsible for his fate, Nina turns to the local sheik for help. Sworn enemy of the French invaders, Sheik Ibrahim Ul-Ahmed sends his henchmen to free Don, scheming to force him to assemble captured French machine guns. Don's brother Bob, also a legionnaire, sets out with his buddies to rescue his reckless little brother. Soon they are all caught in a nightmare of imprisonment and torture. Bob must choose between saving his brother from the sheik's torture or honoring his duty to the flag of France.

Bob Carter is sorry that his brother Don has joined the French Foreign Legion. Bob, Don, and Bob's buddies, Muggsy and Bilgey, go to a café and there Don falls for Nina, a singer in love with Bob. Bob doesn't know this and thinks she is Garcia's girl and warns Don to have nothing to do with her. Don disregards the warning and Garcia discovers Nina and Don together and provokes Don into hitting him. Don is arrested and thrown into the company brig. Nina, with the aid of an Arabian sheik, Ul Ahmed, helps Don escape. Bob, Muggsy, and Bilgey follow but are captured and taken to Ul Hamid's headquarters. The sheik tortures Don to force Bob to work some captured machine guns for him. The Sheik and his tribe attack the fort, but Bob manages to turn the machine guns against his captors...
